HCL2025 Researcher Profile: Dr. David Ritchie, University of Melbourne
The HCL2025 research initiative is a collaboration of the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to identify new and better therapies for hairy cell leukemia and improve patient outcomes. Our HCL2025 Profile Series is highlighting the outstanding investigators whose discoveries will pave the way for new treatment options in HCL.
Today, we're highlighting Dr. David Ritchie from the University of Melbourne. His clinical research focuses on immunology and immunotherapy in blood cancers, such as HCL.
Dr. Ritchie has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and has been awarded funding from the HCLF and LLS to understand the prognostic relationship between the immunologic and genomic signatures in Hairy Cell Leukemia.
In his research, Dr. Ritchie aims to define the genomic and immune landscape of HCL as it relates to diagnosis, therapeutic decisions, and disease monitoring in patients.
